She Was Never Supposed to Be Here.
Rtn.Dr.Sridevi J was born as a second girl child into a family that hadn't wished for one. From her earliest years, she faced neglect, severe restrictions, and the denial of basic privileges — including the right to pursue her own education.
She was the student who was made to stand outside class — not for misbehaving, but for asking too many questions. While others memorised, she wanted to understand. That curiosity was punished. But it never left her.
At home, her voice was suppressed. At school, she was sidelined. The world around her seemed to be telling her the same thing in different words: don't take up space.
She refused.
Instead of letting rejection define her limits, she let it define her drive.
From Survival to Strength
The same mind that turned questions into punishment eventually turned questions into a superpower.
Rtn.Dr.Sridevi discovered early that she could learn complex concepts quickly — and more importantly, she could simplify them for others. She began teaching friends and juniors. What started informally became a calling.
Her pivot from finance into the SAP/ERP technology world tested her all over again. She walked onto the floor as a finance professional in a tech-dominated space — with no mentors, no support network, and an overwhelming amount to learn.
Learning precedes leading.
